INTERVIEW MIT MARCO VON GOMORRHA!!!
Es ist schon einige Zeit her als Gomorrha ihre letzte EP raus gebracht
haben. Nun ist es endlich mal wieder so weit, denn zum Ende dieses Jahres
erscheint die Kopf in Ketten 7“ EP beim Label Power it Up. Ich habe die
Chance bekommen Marco den Vocalisten der Grindtruppe ein Paar
Fragen zur kommenden EP zu stellen.

Moin Marco, erstmal danke das du dir die Zeit genommen hast unsere
Fragen zu beantworten. Was läuft so zurzeit bei dir ?
Moin, bei mir geht gerade so einiges. Gerade bin ich mit meiner
Hauptband Caliban auf Festivals unterwegs und Zuhause bin ich wie wild
Werbung an machen für die Gomorrha Geschichte.
Jetzt ist es ja schon eine ganze Zeit her als ihr mit Gomorrha euer
letztes Werk veröffentlicht habt. Vor einigen Monaten kam ja dann eure
Discography von 1998-2001 auf Tape raus und jetzt bald erscheint die
Kopf In Ketten 7“… Wie ist es dazu gekommen das ihr nach so langer
Zeit wieder angefangen habt mit Gomorrha aktiv zu werden ?
Im Grunde bin ich immer der, der die Band wieder ins Leben zurückrufen
möchte. Die Zeit damals war für mich was besonders.
Im Frühjahr hatte ich viel Zeit, da ich nicht auf Tour mit
Caliban war, also bin ich ins Studio von unseren Gitarristen Marc Görtz
und hab da 4 Songs eingespielt.
Im März hatte ich dann alles fertig und Daniel und ich konnten drüber
brüllen.
Was für Themen verarbeitet oder behandelt ihr in euren Songs ? Was ist
eure main message an die Leute da draußen ?
Drink Fight Fuck ist unsere Main Message. Platte kaufen und Texte lesen
statt MP3 Download bei Amazon.
Ihr spielt ja alle noch in anderen Bands. Du hast ja letztes Jahr mit
Caliban ein neues Album raus gebracht. Wie schafft man es dann noch
so viel Zeit zu finden um an solch einer EP zu arbeiten ?
Ach eigentlich geht das recht fix wenn die Grundidee im Kopf ist….der
Rest kommt von alleine.
Gibt es schon irgendwelche weiteren Pläne für die Band ? Irgendwelche
Gigs die ihr spielen werdet ? Oder arbeitet ihr schon an neuen Songs ?
Es gibt diverse Angebote für Shows, aber daraus wird sicher
nichts( Leider). Ich hab tatsächlich wieder eine Menge Idee für
Songs….aber erstmal schauen wie die 7″ läuft .
Wie sieht es mit Merch aus ?
Wir haben noch ein paar Shirts die bei bastadized recordings zu
erwerben sind . Gegen neue Shirts spricht natürlich auch nichts 🙂
Was läuft bei dir so außerhalb des Bandlebens. Was machst du in deiner
Freizeit? So zum musikalischen Ausgleich.
Ich habe eine wunderbarer Freundin und einen total coolen Hund, mit
denen ich immer was machen kann. Zur Zeit zock ich auf der ps3 GTA um mal richtig die sau raus zulassen.:)

COMING SOON ON POWER IT UP YACÖPSAE – Gästezimmer 8″ / CD
Almost 25 years of YACØPSÆ … Time for a tribute? Not at all! The band still like the AMEBIX slogan: “No gods, no masters”! Nevertheless, YACØPSÆ was always well-known for brewing out some freaky ideas (just check their huge output and you’ll know what we mean), so the concept of a “Guest room” EP was born, whilst we were hanging around somewhere and joking about how to celebrate the “next” anniversary! Actually, no big deal …
Eventually, the band invited a bunch of different people from around the globe to “sing” for them. 15 tracks, each one lasting about 30 seconds, and placed twice (subdivided in two sides: male/ female). All participants had to create own lyrics and to record the vocals by their own. In addition, each person needed to write down a few neutral sentences about the very first encounter with YACØPSÆ, and sending a photo. Basically, the whole idea is not that new or original, though the list of our guests is impressive, so here we go:

Additionally, a bunch of 45 kids in the age between 3 and 5 years is singing “Brother Jakob” in five different speeches (German, English, French, Turkish, and Spanish). Think about where we got our name from, eh? Stoffel went to a friend’s kindergarten to organize the huge choir of cute and awesome kids, and to record the tracks, exclusively. The stuff will be used as intro, midtro and outro.
